The project for the new Biassono Primary School proposes an innovative model of urban regeneration, integrating nature, education, sport and culture. The school becomes a civic centre open to the community, promoting social integration and the sharing of spaces.

The masterplan envisages a flexible organisation of buildings and green spaces connected by pedestrian and cycle paths, with play and sports areas, urban gardens, educational gardens, and the “Welcome Square” featuring an amphitheatre and biodiversity garden.

The school building, designed for 625 pupils following the “School Without a Backpack” model, offers modular and reconfigurable learning spaces, as well as public facilities such as an auditorium, library, canteen, and outdoor areas. The gymnasium, certified for sports competitions, together with the school spaces, will also be accessible to the public outside school hours, strengthening the role of the school as a new cultural and social landmark for the town.
