The apartment is located in a historic building in the centre of Rome, within the urban context of the Rione Esquilino, overlooking the “Acquario Romano.” Over time, the original layout of the apartment had undergone several modifications that diminished its historical character and altered the original spatial configuration.

The goal was to restore the original wall layout, creating a continuous connection between the rooms and ensuring maximum spatial permeability. The ceiling’s decorative details are a recurring motif: each room features a unique set of decorations that reflect the apartment’s historical character, coexisting harmoniously with contemporary furnishings and technologies.

All rooms are finished with chevron-patterned hardwood flooring, except for the bathroom, which features a seamless resin floor. This is an essential intervention, subtle yet impactful, designed to enhance the apartment’s historical essence while meeting the needs of modern living.
